Honor and duty rarely mean more or hold more importance for someone than for a troll. These two triats are their primary hallmarks along with their physical strength and size. Trolls are also known for their bravery, dedication, stoicism and patience. In appearance they are typically seven to nine feet tall with slate blue skin, dark hair and wolf like teeth. Their eyes are always either an icy blue or pale green and they have horns of varying size on their upper foreheads. (Unlike a cow's horns which are to the sides of the head.)
Honor shows itself in many ways from a troll. It manifests in respectful treatment of others, not using their superior strength without just cause, and attention to duties.
Once a troll gives their Oath or Word, they uphold it firmly. This dedication is a measure of their worth both in their own eyes and in the eyes of other Trolls. Even unseelie trolls follow their given oaths, they are just more choosy about who they give the oaths to and why they are making one to begin with.
Trolls can renege on an oath, but their are consequences. If a troll breaks her oath, she will lose her Birthright of superior strength until she has atoned for this act. This lose of strength is their Frailty. However, this does not mean that others can abuse the troll's oath. For example, if the troll's liege breaks her oath, then she is the Oathbreaker and not the troll. At this point she should not be surprised if the troll refuses her further service and just maybe even loses her temper.
Yes, despite their reputation for patience, a troll can get angry. A growing irritablility in a troll as you talk to her is a good sign you might want to change your tone or subject. If the anger is great enough, such as at a betrayal, a troll can go on a rampage of rage that tears through everything... and possibly everyone... around her until she is stopped.
